Halo Infinite Delayed

Rather than release a game that they weren’t happy with, 343 Industries have announced today that they have made the decision to delay the release of Halo Infinite to 2021.

Chris Lee (Halo Infinite Studio Head) shared that a number of factors came in to play when making this decision, and the challenges around keeping development going while there are various COVID restrictions in place was a big part of that.

I want to acknowledge the hard work from our team at 343 Industries, who have remained committed to making a great game and finding solutions to development challenges. However, it is not sustainable for the well-being of our team or the overall success of the game to ship it this holiday.”
