Nintendo announce new Switch OLED

The Nintendo Switch family is about to gain a new member with the newly announced Nintendo Switch OLED model.

What’s different about it you ask?
Obviously the core difference between this new model and the original Switch we all know and love is the screen. Although it is a similar size to the original, the new model features a larger, vibrant 7″ OLED display. Nintendo have also improved the pop out stand (which is great because the kickstand on the original is terrible), and have now included a ethernet port on the new dock. The Switch OLED also features a increased internal storage of 64GB. It comes in white too!

When the system launches, it will come in two color options:
– Nintendo Switch (OLED model) white set, which features white Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit and a white dock.
– Nintendo Switch (OLED model) neon red/neon blue set, which features neon red and neon blue Joy-Con controllers, a black main unit and a black dock.

The Nintendo Switch OLED launches here in NZ on October 8 for $619 (RRP) and is available for pre-order from your favourite game retailer now. For more information visit
