Playstation launches Play At Home
Playstation announced earlier today, the launch of Play At Home, essentially a project to provide games with no strings attached to Playstation gamers to play while they are at home under lockdown. Hence the Play At Home part.
The cool thing is that these games do not require any subscription (PS Plus) nor do they expire. Once you redeem them they are yours to keep in your game library.
To kick off this project Playstation have added Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection as well as Journey. Both of which are available for free until May 5. Even if you don’t want to play them now, download them so you have the option to later!
Alongside Play At Home, Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) have also revealed that they have set aside $10 million to support their independent development partners, in other words smaller gaming studios that may find the current circumstances around the world difficult to develop through. More information about this fund and who would be eligible for assistance will be made available soon, but we think this is great.
