Valve reveals Steam Deck, a new handheld for your PC games

The Steam Deck. Basically a powerful computer capable running the AAA games in your Steam library in a handheld form factor. You turn it on, sign into your Steam account and up pops your Steam games ready to pick what to install.

It’s a pretty impressive piece of kit. Under the hood there is a custom AMD APU (Zen 2 Quad Core 2.4-3.5GHz, up to 448 GFlops FP32), 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 8 RDNA 2 CUs, 1.0-1.6GHz (up to 1.6 TFlops FP32) GPU. It has a 7″ Display (1280 x 800px, 16:10 aspect ratio), Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi connectivity, Displayport 1.4 output via USB-C, analog sticks, triggers, trackpads, gyro and more!

The Steam Deck will be available in three different storage size options, 64GB eMMC, 256GB NVMe SSD or 512GB NVMe SSD. All models include a microSD card slot. At this point NZ pricing hasn’t been released.
